On Our Wedding Day (Take My Hand)
Copyright 2025
Lyrics: Jeffrey Pine
Music: Gary Smith

Take my hand take this life
Take my heart for all time
For all time

From this day we’ll face the world
You and I through the years
Through the years

When the seasons turn around us
Joy and tears you know we’re bound to share
Take my hand and take my heart and lead me there

Loving you changed my life
Fills my heart
With the warmth of the sun

Everything I’ve ever dreamed
Has come true in your eyes
In your eyes

Let the moon and stars surround us
A priceless gift so much beyond compare
Take my hand and take my heart
And lead me there

A lifetime is an ocean Let’s sail out to sea
We’re bound for that far horizon
Just you and me

Let the moon and stars surround us
A priceless gift so much beyond compare
Take my hand and take my heart
And lead me there

Take my hand and take my heart
And lead me there

These Remind Me Of Gold
Copyright 2025
Lyric And Music By Jeffrey Pine
From A Poem By 12 Yr Old Noel Michaela Gorsky

Chocolate coins trumpet sounds sunlight shining bright all around
These remind me of gold
Keys and crowns yellow chalk earrings that sparkle as I walk
These remind me of gold
Golden retrievers smiling eyes honeybees and butterflies
These remind me of gold

Gold shines brighter than any other color
Gold shines for all that is good
Gold is a choir of angels singing
A golden lullaby to the golden neighborhood

Dandelions cobs of corn celebrating the day you were born
These remind me of gold
Wedding rings marigolds married people together growing old
These remind me of gold

When the sunlight reflects off the ocean
That light reminds me of gold
Gold is the sound of steeple bells ringing
Early Sunday morning we all bow before gold

Fiery sunsets in the west golden stars on my spelling test
These remind me of gold
These remind me of gold
These remind me of gold

GRANDMAS AND GRANDPAS
Copyright 2025 Jeffrey Pine

Oh there ain’t nothing in the world like a grandma
She’s even neater and sweeter than your own ma
She’s got the biggest heart that you ever saw
I wouldn’t lie

Well you go to her house and she’ll hug you
She’ll pinch your cheek and then she’ll say so tell me what’s new
She’ll let you eat all the cookies that you want to
I’ll tell you why

She’s got a whole lotta whole lotta whole lotta whole lotta love
She’s got a whole lotta whole lotta whole lotta whole lotta love

Oh there ain’t nothing in the world like a grandpa
He’s even tougher and wiser than your own pa
He’s got the biggest heart that you ever saw
I wouldn’t lie

Well you go to his house and he’ll always say
Do you wanna hear again about the good old days
He’ll always try to help you see a better way
I’ll tell you why

He’s got a whole lotta whole lotta whole lotta whole lotta love
He’s got a whole lotta whole lotta whole lotta whole lotta love

Now every grandma’s got this one perfume
It’s that apple pie you smell in every room
And a grandpa can be so dignified
But what makes him cool is his crazy side

They got a smile that can chase all the rain away
And even though grandma’s hair is a turning gray
She can still make every day a holiday
I wouldn’t lie

They’ve got the kind of a laughter you could never outgrow
And even though grandpa is a moving slow
A better friend you couldn’t ever know
I’ll tell you why

They’ve got a whole lotta whole lotta whole lotta whole lotta love
They’ve got a whole lotta love
They’ve got a whole lotta whole lotta whole lotta whole lotta love
They’ve got a whole lotta love
They’ve got a whole lotta whole lotta whole lotta whole lotta love
I’ll tell you why

A DESERT IN BLOOM
Copyright 2025 Jeffrey Pine

Once I was parched
In search of the rain
Alone in my sorrow
Emptiness in my veins

You were the shower
That brought the flowers to the dune
Now I’m alive
A desert in bloom

Adrift in a wasteland
I thought I was cursed
Holding out for someone
To come and quench my thirst

You were the river
That fed the barren afternoon
Now I’m alive
A desert in bloom

Set free the sky
Set free my spirit
Caress the sand
Embrace my soul
Bring back the joy into my heart
Only you can make me whole

Captive in my silence
Longing to take flight
Questions in the shadows
Unanswered in the night

You were the songbird
That brought the fullness to the moon
Now I’m alive
A desert in bloom

OUR SONG (THE SWEETEST SONG)
Copyright 2025
Lyric By Donna Lee Kendig
Music By Jeffrey Pine

It’s funny how the songs that made me smile can make me sad
The words in every love song make me miss what we once had
But as the years go by it’s clear that you are really gone
I know it’s time that I should try to write a new love song

I put aside my favorite song the one I know by heart
To keep it off my mind is gonna be the hardest part
I’ve tried to change the tempo rearrange the melody
But when I sing it without you there’s just no harmony

The sweetest song I’ve ever known I’d found in your embrace
I don’t know if I’ll ever find another one to take it’s place
Our song lives on beyond compare even as I live today
Oh will I ever sing again now that you’ve gone away

Another lover came and brought her song to share with me
I tried to sing a line but it was written in her key
I prayed somehow that it was right but still it was all wrong
For when I listened to my heart I only heard our song

The years have come and gone now since the days of me and you
And there are times when I still cry if you want to know the truth
I never dreamed that it would be this hard or take so long
To put away your memory and write a new love song

The sweetest song I’ve ever known I’d found in your embrace
I don’t know if I’ll ever find another one to take it’s place
Our song lives on beyond compare even as I live today
Oh will I ever sing again now that you’ve gone away
Oh will I ever sing again now that you’ve gone away

A Day At The Beach
Copyright 2025
Jeffrey Pine

There once was a man
Who worked at his tan everyday (everyday)
And from his head down to his feet
He thought his tan was complete in every way (in every way)

But one day in his room he stood in front of the mirror
And took off his underwear and he noticed that he had a tan
Not quite everywhere

So in search of a total tan
He went out and he ran to the beach (to the beach)
And once there upon the shore
He dug a hole where the water wouldn’t reach (wouldn’t reach)

And under the hot sun he took off all of his clothing
And when he was totally bare he covered himself up with sand
But not quite everywhere

Now two little old ladies
Come walking up the beach hand in hand (hand in hand)
And they both look down and see
The exposed male anatomy in the sand (in the sand)

And the one says to the other
‘You know life is so unfair sometimes that I could just scream’
To which the other replies ‘What do you mean?’
And she says

‘When I was ten years old so very long ago I was afraid of it’
‘And at twenty just finding out what it was all about was a real task’
‘At thirty I enjoyed it and at forty you know that I wasn’t too proud to ask for it’
‘At fifty I paid for it at sixty I prayed for it and at seventy I forgot about that part of a man’
‘But now at eighty the damn things are growing wild in the sand’

Strings Never Lie
Copyright 2025
Jeffrey Pine

Three little strings went into the tavern and they found a seat and they sat right down
And the first little string went up to the bar and he said ‘Bartender I’d like a round
’The bartender said ‘Are you a string?’ and the first little string said ‘Yes I am!’
The bartender said ‘We don’t serve strings here’ then he pulled out a knife and cut the string in half

Everybody knows strings never lie though they might tell a fib just to get by
They always tell the truth don’t ask me why but everybody knows strings never lie
Everybody knows strings never lie

Now the other two strings were very frightened but they wanted a drink and so they hid their fear
And the second little string went up to the bar and he said ‘Bartender I’d like a beer’
The bartender said ‘Are you a string?’ and the second little string said ‘Yes I am!’
The bartender said ‘We don’t serve strings here’ then he pulled out a knife and cut the string in half

Everybody knows strings never lie though they might tell a fib just to get by
They always tell the truth don’t ask me why but everybody knows strings never lie
Everybody knows strings never lie

Now the last little string was very scared and though he wanted a drink he was much too wise
So he thought it out for a couple of minutes then he made himself a little disguise
The third little string tied himself in a knot so that the end of his tail hung out over his head
Then he took his tail and he frayed it out so that it looked just like a lot of hair instead
And the last little string went up to the bar and he said ‘Bartender I’d like a shot’
The bartender said ‘Are you a string?’ and the third little string said ‘I’m a frayed knot!’

Everybody knows strings never lie (I’m a frayed knot!)
Though they might tell a fib just to get by (I’m a frayed knot!)
They always tell the truth don’t ask me why (I’m a frayed knot!)
But everybody knows strings never lie (I’m a frayed knot!)
Everybody knows strings never lie (I’m a frayed knot!)

HOW FINE IT WOULD BE
Copyright 2025 Jeffrey Pine

I have often thought
How fine it would be
If for just one moment
I’d have you here with me
I would take the time
That I didn’t before
To say all of the things
You needed to hear so much more

Things like I love you
Things like I’m thinking of you
Things like I need you so much more than I knew
I can’t believe that it’s true
I won’t believe we’re through

Other than some words
you never asked for much
Maybe some assurance
When we were losing touch
Memories of you
Dancing in my head
All that’s left to say are things
That were left unsaid

Things like I love you
Things like I’m thinking of you
Things like I need you so much more than I knew
I can’t believe that it’s true
I won’t believe we’re through

Time will show that broken hearts
Can not keep good friends apart
But I’d be lying if I said too
That’s all that I still feel inside for you
